Music Lesson Terms And Conditions.

Please read the following information carefully. By booking and continuing tuition with Limetree Music Centre Ltd, pupils and/or their parent or guardian agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

Lesson Bookings & Payments

  • Lessons at Lime Tree Music Centre are normally booked in advance in half-term or full-term blocks. Holiday lessons may be arranged and paid for separately.
  • All invoices must be paid in advance of tuition and by the payment deadline stated on the invoice.
  • Invoices are normally issued approximately two weeks before the end of each half term for the following teaching period. Once an invoice has been issued, the pupil's lesson place is considered reserved for that period.
  • Where an invoice remains unpaid after the stated two-week payment period, a £10 late payment fee will be added.
  • Lime Tree Music Centre reserves the right to suspend or discontinue tuition where an account remains unpaid. Any outstanding fees will remain payable and a pupil's regular lesson slot cannot be guaranteed while their account is in arrears.
  • If you are concerned about meeting a payment deadline, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can discuss how we may be able to help.

Lesson Cancellations & Absences

  • We operate a strict 24-hour cancellation policy.
  • Where at least 24 hours' notice of an absence is provided, the value of the missed lesson will be credited towards the pupil's next invoice.
  • Where less than 24 hours' notice is provided, or where a pupil fails to attend without notice, the lesson will be charged in full.
  • Cancellation notice should be provided directly to Lime Tree Music Centre or the pupil's tutor as soon as possible.

Cancellations by Lime Tree Music Centre

  • If a tutor is unable to deliver a scheduled lesson, Lime Tree Music Centre will endeavour to arrange a suitable replacement tutor or rearrange the lesson where possible.
  • Where neither option is possible, the value of the cancelled lesson will be credited to the pupil's account or next invoice.
  • Pupils will not be charged for a lesson that Lime Tree Music Centre is unable to provide.

Lesson Times & Late Arrival

  • Lessons are normally either 30 or 60 minutes in duration unless otherwise agreed.
  • Pupils should arrive in good time for their scheduled lesson. If a pupil arrives late, the lesson will still finish at the originally scheduled time and the full lesson fee will remain payable.
  • If a tutor is delayed, Lime Tree Music Centre will endeavour to ensure that the pupil receives their full allocated teaching time wherever reasonably possible.

Ending Tuition

  • Pupils wishing to discontinue their regular lessons must notify Lime Tree Music Centre directly by email before their next half-term invoice is issued.
  • Simply informing a tutor, failing to attend lessons or leaving an invoice unpaid will not be considered notice of withdrawal.

Pupil Behaviour

  • Pupils are expected to behave respectfully and appropriately towards tutors, staff, other pupils and visitors while attending Lime Tree Music Centre.
  • Behaviour that is abusive, threatening, discriminatory, dangerous or significantly disruptive will not be tolerated.
  • Where unacceptable behaviour occurs, a tutor may end the lesson immediately and, where appropriate, the pupil's parent or guardian will be contacted. The lesson will remain chargeable.
  • In serious or repeated cases, Lime Tree Music Centre reserves the right to discontinue tuition.

Parents, Guardians & Minors

  • Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring that children arrive safely for their lesson and are collected promptly at the end of their scheduled lesson.
  • Tutors are responsible for pupils during their scheduled lesson. If you've told us your child mustn't leave on their own, their tutor keeps them until they're collected, by the person you've said collects them.
  • Lime Tree Music Centre and its tutors cannot accept responsibility for pupils' personal possessions while on the premises. Pupils are encouraged to take appropriate care of instruments, devices and other belongings brought to lessons.
  • Behaviour that is abusive, threatening, discriminatory, dangerous or significantly disruptive will not be tolerated. Lime Tree Music Centre reserves the right to discontinue tuition in serious or repeated cases.

Tutor Conduct & Responsibilities

  • Tutors working at Lime Tree Music Centre are required to comply with the Centre's professional standards, policies and expected standards of conduct.
  • Any concerns regarding the behaviour or conduct of a tutor should be reported directly to a Director of Lime Tree Music Centre. Concerns will be taken seriously and investigated appropriately.
  • Where necessary, Lime Tree Music Centre reserves the right to remove a tutor from teaching duties while concerns are investigated.

Customer Satisfaction

  • We want pupils to have a positive and productive experience at Lime Tree Music Centre.
  • If a pupil, parent or guardian is unhappy with the quality of tuition or their assigned tutor, we ask that they contact us directly so that we have an opportunity to resolve the issue.
  • Where appropriate, Lime Tree Music Centre will endeavour to provide an alternative tutor.
  • If a suitable replacement tutor cannot be provided, a refund may be offered for prepaid lessons that have not yet taken place.

Refunds

  • Limetree Music Centre Ltd may offer refunds for tuition in the following circumstances:
  • Where there is a substantiated concern regarding the quality of tuition provided and Lime Tree Music Centre is unable to resolve the matter or provide a suitable alternative tutor.
  • Where misconduct or inappropriate behaviour by a tutor has been substantiated.
  • Where Lime Tree Music Centre is unable to provide prepaid tuition or a suitable alternative.
  • Where cancellation of a prepaid block is requested within 7 days of payment and before tuition within that block has commenced.
  • Once tuition within a booked block has commenced, refunds will not be provided for lessons that the pupil chooses not to attend. This does not affect lesson credits due under our cancellation policy or lessons cancelled by Lime Tree Music Centre.
  • Lesson credits obtained throughout your tuition at Lime Tree will be valid for two years.
  • If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your tuition or experience at Lime Tree Music Centre, please contact us directly. We will always endeavour to listen to your concerns and find an appropriate solution.
