Win A Recording Session In Matlock With Our Winter Songwriting Competition!

Be in the chance to win a recording session in Matlock with our Winter Songwriting Competition! The seasonal songwriting competitions are certainly showing no signs of stopping, and we are happy to announce another songwriting competition for over the winter months.

In case you haven’t seen our most recent newsletter yet (read it here and don’t forget to subscribe!), we are holding another songwriting competition, where the first prize is a recording session here at the studio, in Matlock! Previous winners of our Seasonal Songwriting Competitions include Richard “Miserable Hands” Watson (pictured above), solo musician/songwriter Danielle Banks and Phil Botts of Appleskins.

How Can I Enter The Winter Songwriting Competition?

This season’s songwriting theme is Good Times, and we feel that everybody could use some right about now. Please see below for the entry parameters:

  • The song must be at least two minutes in length, an original composition and must be recorded clearly.
  • The recording submitted doesn’t have to be of great quality, just as long as the audio is clear. It could even be a phone video.
  • 1st prize is a half days recording session at Lime Tree Music Centre, with the opportunity to record a song of their choice, including any band members that they wish to bring along. They will also feature a write up in an upcoming newsletter and a mention on our social media pages!
  • 2nd prize is one of our Lime Tree Music Centre T-shirts.
  • We can accept entries by a private link, an email attachment, or Facebook Message.
  • When submitting your original composition, please include your name, the subject “LTMC Song Writing Competition” and the best way to contact you. We can only accept one submission per person.
  • Entries must be submitted by 11:59pm on Sunday 14th March 2021 and after the entries have been judged a winner will be revealed a week later.
